Combining fresh new-school hardcore with progressive metal and free jazz, The Dillinger Escape Plan has redefined intensity with technical complexity and flawless execution, making it the yardstick by which other heavy acts are measured.
We met up with bassist Liam Wilson for a quick Q&A between sets at last year’s Take Action Tour. He was refreshingly honest and sincere, and we’re really glad we had an opportunity to talk with him. We just hope he feels the same, especially since he nicely asked us to edit out a couple parts of the interview, and in response we giggled and said, “Uh … no.” Why? Because we abide by the philosophy that you shouldn’t fix what ain’t broke.
